Trump Appoints AG Dedicated to Taking Down Trump Foundation as Head of Trump Foundation

President-Elect Trump, busy letting Mike Pence run the transition and skipping intelligence briefings still found time to appoint a new head of the Trump Foundation. In a familiar pattern, Trump selected NY State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman to run his foundation. Mr. Schneiderman has been the chief adversary of the Trump Foundation, investigating its malpractices and even ordering it this summer to stop fundraising due to its failure to be properly registered.

Those familiar with Trump's managerial style found the choice totally unsurprising. Trump favors placing the most passionate and vocal enemies of organizations as their head, a pattern seen with his HHS, EPA head and Secretary of Interior choices. While Trump has no formal say in the choice, he has privately recommended putting David Duke in as the next head of the NAACP to complement his own selection of Jeff Sessions as Attorney General of the United States.
